I was born in the 60’s, Bell-Bottom Jeans, Beatlemania, Tie Dye T-shirts and so forth. But for me, I was fascinated with aviation and becoming an astronaut.

I was born in Chicago but grew up in Montreal, Canada and the opportunities to pursue such a high flying profession were, at the time, non-existent. Instead I took the well worn path of high school, university and then medical school. I never gave up my passion for aviation and between study breaks I would try and take off and land a using versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator beginning with 1.0 through MSFS 2000. Then, in June of 2000 I finally began to fly for real and after my first Discovery Flight I was hooked.

For a long time I flew recreationally until few years ago when I decided to combine my passion for teaching and flying and obtain my flight instructors certificate. While I’m probably too old for astronaut school (insert wink here) I am nevertheless very excited to share my passion and experience of flying with anyone interested.
